Celebrating International Womens Day 2023

On Wednesday 8 March 2023, it is International Women’s Day.

IWD is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

International Women’s Day has occurred for well over a century with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over 1 million people.

The aim of the IWD 2023 #EmbraceEquity campaign is to get the world taking about why equal opportunities aren’t enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action.

We will be officially recognising IWD and celebrating the many achievements and significant contributions made by the women in our business. We will continue to share the passion and excitement that comes from valuing and supporting difference and reflect on how we can be part of the solution, not the problem.

And like last year, we have chosen to do this by making a donation to Womankind Worldwide, a charity that supports women’s rights organizations and movements to secure equal rights for women and girls so they can live without fear of violence, have a say in decisions that impact them, and control their own life.
